Invictus Games Spirit 27 is more than a volunteer programme. It is a group of people committed to creating meaningful experiences, supporting recovery through sport, and showing the world the warmth, generosity and spirit that define Birmingham and the West Midlands.
From supporting competitors to welcoming families and spectators, every volunteer plays a vital role in a shared journey of recovery, resilience and connection. Together we create the conditions where people feel supported, understood, and part of something bigger than themselves.
As a volunteer, you won't just support an event – you'll help shape an inclusive, community-driven games where every interaction matters.
Whether you have volunteered many times before or this would be your first experience, we would love you to consider joining us.
We’re proud to deliver our volunteer programme in partnership with United By 2022, the legacy charity of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the home of the legacy volunteers.
Having provided volunteers at every major event that has come to the West Midlands for the last 5 years, this partnership allows us to continue that volunteering legacy, by offering Invictus Games 27 volunteers the opportunity to join United By 2022’s Volunteers Collective, so they can keep on volunteering their time, skills and spirit, long after the crowds and competitors have made their way home.
