Job Advert: Finance Director

£70,000 FTE

2 days a week (0.4 FTE)

Invictus UK 2027 is a charity and is the delivery organisation for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham; with a comprehensive strategic and collaborative programme of impact & legacy activities rolled out from summer 2025. 

Our Games will bring together Wounded, Injured and Sick Serving Personnel, Veterans and families from 25+ Nations; supporting their recovery journeys and celebrating resilience, sportsmanship and community.  

We are looking for an experienced charity finance specialist to join us and be responsible for the delivery and management of our financial systems, building on the initial financial systems set up work.  You’ll ensure compliance with legal, financial and governance standards and provide strategic financial oversight ensuring that the organisation operates within agreed financial parameters. 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Charity Finance Director; with an appropriate professional qualification. You’ll have strong knowledge of charity finance regulations and have experience in working within charities that operate subsidiary trading companies, and with Audit and Risk committees.  

This role can be located in London,  or could be home based with some travel.
